Fest was created to help break down the stigmas that surround mental illness and addiction by using arts programming that includes musical performances, talks, film, comedy, and visual art from local artists and nationally known celebrity mental health and addiction advocates. In addition to helping connect those in need of mental health and addiction assistance with available resources."

I have been part of the 2016 and 2017 fest and plan on being part of this wonderful fest as long as they continue to produce it. I am honored and humbled to be accepted and have the ability to participate in this dynamic event. Derek Hess is bringing the much needed attention to the mental health crisis that plagues our society.
